How do you pick up the pieces of your own heart after so long...? When it feels that it's been years, not months...and you've been through much more than you should've... After all this time, have you really let go of the past? Or is it your mind playing tricks on you again...? Do you take another chance and risk hurting the ones that you love...? But even if you are willing to take that risk...where do you go from here? But then you realise that no matter what you do and no matter what happens from here...there is no going back. The wounds have never really healed. So how do you pick up the pieces of a life you left so long ago...?

Step by step...falling down and picking yourself up... 'One. Two. Three. Four.' Baby steps.

I'm not entirely sure why it hits a chord with me! It must just be a good piece of writing ^_^ It's strong, if you get me. I suppose I like to think of myself as a hopeless romantic, though maybe in a different way to you...
